Fifth Dimension Elementary School, a new school for elementary students located at Nad Al Shiba in Dubai, is offering students and parents an education focused on the future.
The school will incorporate virtual reality as well as space travel within the curriculum in an effort to inspire a different way of thinking about the future.
Bio-domes, an innovative technique of learning, will be available on campus for students to explore living and non-living things in their natural environment.
The bio-domes will focus on ecology, plant science and hydroponic farming.
One of the domes will focus on space travel and will highlight the UAE's mission to Mars.
Students will learn about how life will have to adapt to living on a new planet, as well as the geology of Mars through the rocks, volcanos, craters and other land formations.
Students will additionally be given a school passport which will serve as a record of rewards given to a child that follows along with the school's values and vision.
The school will also involve the community in Urban Farming, to help raise environmental awareness, inspire healthy eating and partnerships in the community.
Dr Terry Burwell, Founding Principal said, "Our aim is to inspire our children and the community of Nad Al Shiba. Children more than ever, need to be prepared for a complex world and they need preparation to solve complex problems. We're really focussed on this and the bio-domes are a fantastic resource to drive our ambitions and build a new generation of learners."
Admissions are now open, with limited seats available. Scholarships for Emirati students are also available.
