At a time when much of the world is grappling with conflict and division, Dubai has become home to a powerful global symbol of peace and unity. The newly opened World Park for Peace, located in the historic Al Fahidi district, offers a moving experience through the eyes of children from around the world.
The immersive park features more than 200,000 drawings contributed by children aged 4 to 12 from 152 countries, collected over the past decade by 'Colors for Peace', an international non-profit organisation that promotes children's art and is dedicated to building a future shaped by creativity and mutual understanding.
The launch was attended by renowned Emirati artist Shaikh Ali Abdalla Rashid Nasir Almulla and international opera singer Inva Mula, underscoring the cultural and diplomatic significance of the project.
Each space within the World Park for Peace is designed to evoke emotion and reflection, drawing on the the connection between humanity, nature and our shared future. The powerful idea behind the project is to amplify the voices of children in the global dialogue for peace.
Founder Aurela Cuku, whose vision brought the World Park for Peace to life, expressed the deeper mission behind the project and said, “In a time when the world is seeking answers, we are choosing to listen to the quiet voices of children. These are voices that imagine a world without war, without fear, and without division”.
As the UAE continues to champion tolerance and coexistence, the World Park for Peace aligns perfectly with the nation’s broader cultural mission. Visitors now have a chance to explore part of the exhibition, with full access to be gradually unveiled in the months ahead.
More than just a museum, the World Park for Peace is set to become a living archive of hope, and a testament to the idea that even the smallest voices can spark the biggest change.
