Expo 2020 is set to offer families and children a place to explore the world's ecosystems and learn important lessons about the planet and humanity.
Families can delight in mascot shows featuring siblings Rashid and Latifa, singalongs, dance-offs and theatrical productions with a message of uniting to overcome adversity.
Al Wasl Plaza will host the Mascot Show, where siblings Rashid and Latifa will battle their evil arch-nemesis Mr Scrap and will also offer children with the opportunity to create their own avatars at the interactive booths.
A daily music, dance and story show called the Mister Scrap’s Scrapyard Idol will be held at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre, where Mr Scrap will go head to head against Rashid and Latifa.
An ocean-themed adventure is also available at Rashid's Playground in Jubilee Park where there are sharks on springs, whale slides, ocean liners and a 3D maze modelled on the humpback whale.
Al Forsan Park will also offer families a green lawn as well as Latifa’s Adventures in Space City, where children can bounce around in a zero-gravity chamber, leap into the orbit around swings and go aboard a replica of the UAE’s Hope Probe.
The Expo Explorer, which runs on compressed air and is pollution-free, will take passengers on a sight-seeing journey to experience the future of sustainable transport.
Additionally, family-focused pavilions will offer a range of fun activities including a 21-metre-tall slide into a green, woody space at the Luxembourg Pavilion, playing traditional board games and playground games at the Ethiopia Pavilion as well as discover Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion, where families can explore the UAE and Expo 2020’s commitment to sustainability.
Expo 2020 will offer a family package priced at Dhs 950 with unlimited access for six months for two parents and a nanny where children under 18 can enter for free. The package will also offer a discount on food and beverage, a 25% discount on five additional tickets and an advance purchase photography voucher worth Dhs 125 to capture memories.
