The UAE has updated the list of fines and penalties for individuals that break COVID-19 protocols.
The list includes 22 categories with fines ranging from Dhs 1,000 to Dhs 50,000.
Individuals refusing mandatory hospitalisation and not following home quarantine protocols and getting retested will have to pay a Dhs 50,000 fine.
A Dhs 20,000 fine will be given to individuals that cheat and provide false information and not disclosing information on arrival from various countries.
By not registering on the smart application, not using the e-tracking device for home quarantine or damaging it, a Dhs 10,000 fine will have to be paid.
Individuals hosting gatherings and meetings without following protocols will face fines starting from Dhs 5,000 to Dhs 50,000.
A fine of Dhs 3,000 will be observed for not wearing face masks in public and not following the social distancing protocol.
Dhs 5,000 fine for refusing to take PCR tests on the set dates or when asked by health authorities.
Additionally, individuals that spread fake news on the pandemic will face a Dhs 20,000 fine.
