With the suspension of flights from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Uganda, individuals were unable to travel back to the UAE.
Now that flights from these countries have resumed, UAE residents with a valid residency and are fully vaccinated can travel back to the UAE.
Although, only individuals that have received both doses of a UAE approved vaccine in the UAE with a valid vaccination certificate can return.
Individuals in India that have received both doses of Covishield, which is the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India are currently not eligible to travel.
Additionally, individuals vaccinated by the Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine or the Moderna vaccine in Pakistan and the Moderna vaccine in Sri Lanka are not permitted to travel.
Emirates flights to and from Nigeria have also been suspended till 15 August.
