The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced the new updated COVID-19 precautionary measures and protocols.
The updated precautionary measures will help promote a sustainable recovery and a gradual resumption of all activities in the UAE.
Restaurants, malls and cafes will function at an 80% capacity with a limit of 10 individuals per table.
Face masks are still mandatory and need to be worn at all times.
By following the precautionary measures set, as well as wearing face masks and social distancing, hotels can operate at full capacity.
80% of operational capacity is also allowed at cinemas, recreational facilities, galleries and museums.
Events can operate at 60% capacity with social distancing followed, face masks worn and regular sanitisation.
Wedding and event halls can operate at 60% capacity with the number of attendees per event not exceeding 300 and all preventive measures adhered to.
Physical distancing markings will be created for public transport which will operate at 75% capacity along with wearing face masks still mandatory.
Individuals that have received their COVID-19 vaccination or have participated in clinical trials, with the second dose administered less than 6 months ago and less than 3 months for senior citizens and individuals with chronic diseases can attend events and activities.
A negative result of a PCR test taken within 48 hours along with the E letter or gold star showing on the Al Hosn app is required to attend events.
To minimise the spread of the virus, certain establishments must use the green pass protocol for certain categories of events and activities.
