Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced a series of precautionary measures that need to be followed while celebrating Eid Al Adha.
The measures have been released along with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi as well as the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre.
The measures include individuals aged 60 and above, children under 12 and individuals with chronic illnesses and respiratory symptoms are not allowed to attend prayers at the mosque during Eid Al Adha.
Individuals that have come into close contact with a positive person, or individuals currently undergoing treatment for COVID-19 are also not permitted to attend.
When attending prayers, individuals must maintain a social distance, avoid shaking hands, avoid gathering and greeting in the traditional manner before and after prayers.
While celebrating, avoid public or private gatherings, wish people virtually, exchange gifts electronically and if individuals are above 60, avoid socialising as much as possible.
Sacrificial services are available through the Department of Municipalities and Transport approved platforms including, Zabehaty, Zabayeh Al Jazeera and Dhabayeh Al Emarat.
Drive-ins must be provided at the approved abattoirs along with precautionary measures followed. Receiving at-home services from butchers is not allowed.
