New entry requirements for entering Abu Dhabi will be in place from Monday 19 July.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved that entry into Abu Dhabi requires a negative PCR test no more than 48 hours before or a negative DPI result within 24 hours.
Those people staying more than 4 days and entering with a negative PCR test are required to take a PCR test on day four of entry as well, and those staying for over 8 days are required to take a further PCR test on day eight.
Those who are staying for more than 48 hours and entered with a negative DPI test are required to take a PCR test on day three and an further PCR test on day seven for those staying over 7 days.
This applies to all people whether vaccinated or not vaccinated.
A DPI test cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi consecutive times.
Those not taking the required tests are liable for fines.
This is part of the continued efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 variants and ensure continuous testing.
