In an effort to increase greenery in public locations, Al Dhafra Region Municipality has planted two new greenbelts around Al Dhafra.
The greenbelts have been planted with indigenous plant species.
The plant species used include the Ghaf tree, the Arak tree, the Arta shrub, the Markh shrub and the Themam shrub.
The initiative will help increase biodiversity in the area as well as will include the quality of life for citizens and residents.
Additionally, the project will also protect nearby homes from sand encroachment and will provide more green spaces to the public.
