Dubai Police announced that a possible wild animal has gone loose in the Springs 3 residential area in Dubai.
Authorities have informed residents in the area to be safe and to take all cautious measures to minimise the risk to any potential danger.
Social media posts state that the animal is thought to be a panther that has been possibly kept as a pet and is said to have escaped from its owners home yesterday morning, when sightings of it were first made. No recent sightings have been made, and it is unsure as to whether the animal has returned to its owner or is still loose in the residential area.
Highly trained professionals were also used to hold an extensive search to track the animal and capture it.
Dubai Police further informed the public that bringing wild animals into public settings is prohibited in line with the laws set in Dubai.
