The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai has announced updated protocols that come into effect immediately related to certain restrictions in place due to coronavirus.

Observing physical distancing of two metres and the use of face masks is still mandatory.

Of the updates effective from now, weddings can now take place with a maximum number of people at 100. Guests and staff need to be vaccinated to attend.

30 people are the maximum permitted for weddings held at home, with all precautionary measures followed.

Restaurants can now seat 10 people at a table whereas coffee shops can sit 6 people per table.

Occupancy for hotels can now function at full 100% capacity.

Entertainment venues can now host a maximum capacity of 70%. Permits for concerts, social and institutional events are now permitted if all the individuals are vaccinated.

Community sports events are also allowed if individuals, staff and attendees have all been fully vaccinated.

The maximum number of guest for indoor events is capped at 1,500 with outdoor events capacity held at 2,500.
