A Guinness World Record has been awarded for the creation of a UAE flag made last years with mosaic during the 49th UAE National Day.
The piece measures up to 498.33 m² and has been recorded under the Nefsy initiative and was located at the courtyard of the Police Academy in the Al Wasl District.
The initiative was held in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, the Government of Dubai, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department.
The National Food Product Company was also a silver-sponsored mosaic Emirati Flag initiative.
The initiative was aimed at providing support to curb the COVID-19 pandemic, through donations for underprivileged families, which provided 49,000 food packages, including rice, flour, edible oil, sugar, salt, hand sanitisers and bottled water.
The packages, which were distributed by the Emirates Red Crescent within 10 days, also included a card saying 'Don't Worry' to showcase their support towards the families.
