New Creative Zone Launched

Al Quoz Creative Zone, a hub for artists and designers to live, work and create has been launched.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai launched the creative zone.

The creative zone, and the facilities provided, will offer artists and designers the space to help their individual creative businesses grow.

The ‘Al Quoz Creative Membership’ will allow artists with projects and creative entrepreneurs, the opportunity to receive incentives including fees exemptions, reduced rents, logistic business support and access to relevant training and programmes to help artists transform their creative ideas into business.

Entrepreneurs and professionals will be able to issue freelance permits and a single license to practice creative business activities, apart from other official permits. The zone will also provide rental services, financing solutions and other creative transactions.

The zone will feature multipurpose spaces to provide designers, artists and creative professionals to live, work, exhibit and sell their products. Art workshops can also be held.

Creative individuals from the different fields can avail the benefits including publishing, writing, print and audio-visual media such as cinema, music and video, artistic and cultural industries, cultural heritage museums, historical sites, archives, major cultural events, libraries, and the software and video gaming industry as well as the design of fashion, gaming, software or architecture.
