The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received a 100% paperless stamp, as a reslt of their conversion of all their operations and services to digital.

The 100% paperless stamp was awarded to DEWA by Smart Dubai during a delegation visit to DEWA’s head office.

The change to digital was achieved through the use of the DEWA smart app, where easy transactions can be made, the cashless initiative which eliminated the use of cash, the elimination of printers as well as the Smart Office app for all DEWA employees, with their documents stored digitally.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA said, "This achieves the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, to transform the Government of Dubai into a fully digital government and build an integrated, paperless government framework. This is part of the Dubai Paperless Strategy, launched by Sheikh Hamdan, to stop using paper in all internal and external transactions with customers by December 2021."
