The UAE Tour is the biggest cycling event in the UAE and will witness cyclists crossing various landmarks across five emirates in the UAE till 27 February.
On Friday, 26 February, cyclists will pass through landmarks around Dubai namely Deira Islands, Jumeirah Islands and Palm Jumeriah for the Dubai Stage of the tour.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the event, certain roads will be closed for the cyclists and will open up once they have passed through.
At Jumeriah Islands, cyclists will enter via Gate 1 at 1.50pm through the west side and will exit through Gate 3 at 2.20pm.
At Palm Jumeriah, from 4pm to 7pm, as the race finishes a small section of the outer Crescent Road will close. Contraflow will be in place so that traffic can flow. Additionally, from 4pm to 4.30pm, cyclists will pass through Palm Jumeriah on their final Dubai stage.
