Dubai and the UAE Public Holidays 2017
The Abu Dhabi government has announced the list of public holidays planned for 2017. Public sector employees in the UAE could expect more public holidays in 2017. Other emirates tend to follow a similar schedule although the Abu Dhabi government released the list of holidays.
Public departments, federal ministries and other institutions will be closed on the following dates.

September 1,Friday - Feast of Sacrifice (Eid Al Adha*)

September 21, Thursday - Islamic New Year (Hijra New Year*)
November 30, Thursday - Martyrs' Day
December 1, Friday - Prophet Mohammed's Birthday
December 2, Saturday - UAE National Day
