Sheikh Mohammed Tweets About His Displeasure With This Government Service

One Emirates Post Centre came under a ‘not so good’ spotlight after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, sent a secret shopper who reported lower than satisfactory service at the centre.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid took to Twitter to share his displeasure with the centre. His Highness tweeted that a ‘secret shopper’ passed on photos from the post office showing lengthy queues of people waiting to be served.

His Highness tweeted the picture and said who ever is responsible for this level of service will not be the part of his team.

In the second tweet, His Highness shared the report sent by a team of investigators dispatched to the post office and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed added that nothing in the government will pass without a follow-up in all transparency.

According to the report findings, 75 per cent of the people queuing were waiting for their Emirates ID. A total of 80 per cent of Emirates IDs are sent to Karama Post Centre and collected in-person by people who don’t have PO boxes, and currently the post office is handling 3,000 Emirates ID cards over its capacity.
