When it was announced last week that a new cultural landmark ‘Qasr Al Watan’, part of the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi will open its doors to the public, we could only imagine how impressive the architecture of the new building would look, which promises to give an insight into Arabic heritage and culture.
Now that images of “Palace of the Nation’ have been released, we cannot stop but admire its grandeur reflected in every part of it.
On Sunday, 10 March, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces inaugurated the new landmark.
The Palace is open to the public from 10am till 8pm daily.
The tweet from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid read “Mohammed bin Zayed and I inaugurated Qasr Al Watan -Palace of the Nation- in the Presidential Palace compound in Abu Dhabi. The new cultural landmark reflects our heritage and identity, opening its doors to our people, residents and visitors starting tomorrow.”
The Palace offers visitors an opportunity to marvel at the architecture, learn more about the rulers and acknowledge the innovations that will drive the UAE’s future.
