Aster DM Healthcare has launched a new women welfare initiative ‘DIVA’. Partnering with SmartLife, the DIVA programme invited 100 women from labour camps across the UAE to receive free medical checkups, participate in health talks, enjoy food and beverage options, and take part in fun games and activities at Mushrif Park on Friday, 30 March.
In alignment with the Year of Zayed, DIVA reflects the Founding Father and late President’s pursuits to promote the welfare and development of women in the UAE.
“Caring for people is at the core of what we do at Aster,” said Alisha Moopen, Executive Director & CEO Hospitals & Clinics - GCC , Aster DM Healthcare. “The DIVA programme represents our commitment to making healthcare more accessible to those who need it most by enabling a happier and healthier society.”
The women—a majority of whom originate from India, Pakistan, Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Africa—received a welcome break from their working lives. Prizes, including opportunities to win 4 gold coins and 2 roundtrip Emirates Airlines tickets to their home countries encouraged participation from all of them, with a number of lucky winners leaving the park in noticeably high spirits.
