Emirates Labour Market Award Announced: Dhs 50 Million In Prizes

Applications are now open for the third edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award, which recognises exceptional contributions to the UAE’s labour market. This year’s edition brings a larger prize pool of Dhs 50 million, up from Dhs 37 million in 2023, and will honour 98 winners, compared to 84 winners in the second edition of the award.

Organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the award celebrates private sector companies and distinguished workers for implementing best practices across human resources, occupational health and safety, innovation, and labour welfare.

A new subcategory under ‘Labour Accommodations’ has been introduced, rewarding companies that promote sustainability and recreational initiatives for workers, particularly during national and Eid holidays. This aims to boost worker wellbeing, productivity and belonging.

The award spans five main categories:

  • ‘Establishments’ category: Private sector companies with exceptional human resource practices will be awarded based on employment, empowerment, talent attraction, work environment, workforce quality of life, innovation and future readiness.

  • ‘Outstanding Workforce' category: Distinguished workforce members will be awarded based on their achievements, commitment to continuous learning, development and social responsibility.

  • 'Labour Accommodations' category: Recognises companies with best investment in labour accommodations, welfare and other activities.

  • 'Business Service Partners' category: Awards for top-performing recruitment offices, leading agencies that attract qualified talent and service centres that implement practices to empower their workforce.

  • 'Special Recognition' category: Awards for pioneering efforts and influencers who have made positive impact on the UAE labour market.

Winning companies will receive:

  • MoHRE’s Diamond tier customer service

  • Financial benefits:

    • Up to Dhs 1.2 million for first place

    • Dhs 1 million for second place
