UAE President Reaffirms Commitment To Global Health On World Health Day

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has reaffirmed the nation's strong commitment to prioritising public health and promoting healthy living across the country, as the world observed World Health Day on 7 April.

In a message shared on social media, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said: Investing in health is an investment in society’s future.

The message emphasised that the UAE will continue to encourage a culture of wellness within communities and remain committed to supporting international efforts to address global health challenges through science and innovation.

World Health Day, an initiative by the World Health Organisation, is observed annually to highlight key health issues around the world. This year’s theme, 'Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures', calls on governments and the global health community to intensify efforts to eliminate preventable maternal and newborn deaths.

The UAE has consistently led initiatives that promote preventive healthcare, encourage healthy lifestyles, and expand access to quality medical services for all residents. The President’s remarks underscore the nation’s vision to build a society that embraces innovation and scientific research to drive global health solutions.

As part of its broader strategy, the UAE continues to collaborate internationally, recognising that health challenges are interconnected and require collective action. Through investments in innovation and partnerships with global institutions, the country aims to contribute meaningfully to improving public health worldwide.
