Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has organised for free taxi rides for 100 tourists coming through Dubai International Airport to mark celebrations for International Day of Happiness on March 20th. In addition to free rides, limited edition nol cards and freebies will be distributed at metro, tram and bus stations.
There is a series of external and internal events being organised by the RTA to observe Happiness Day. External initiatives include events at Hatta Dam on March 23 like rowing in the lake free of charge and free rides on the Happiness Bus to major tourist attractions in Dubai which include Global Village, La Mer, and Dubai Parks and Resort on March 20th.
“Internal events include distributing 1,600 chocolate cans with positive messages to employees, 2,500 Hala phone cards, meals to public bus drivers, and 600 payment vouchers to parking inspectors.
Announcing the initiative, HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai stressed the keenness of the UAE leadership to bring happiness, stability, and decent living to citizens and residents of the state. He noted that leaders are also concerned with embedding positivity as a core value in the UAE community and turning government entities into happiness hubs through policies, programs, services and work environment.
