UAE’s Journey to Happiness week just got a little more ‘Joy’-ful
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council’s love for animals is known by all, so this weekend when he embarked onto Instagram seeking a name for his new pony, everyone responded with utter excitement.
Among all the nominated names, Sheikh Hamdan got his Instagram followers to vote between ‘Amigo’ and ‘Joy’- the name suggested by one of our own UAE residents, Semah Jamal.
‘Joy’ ended up winning with 51% of the votes and the new name for the adorable furry foal was presented to the world in a caption by the young Sheikh.
The Crown Prince also thanked Semah for the name suggestion on an Insta-snap, bringing a little ‘joy’ to her feed as well!
