His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai yesterday visited the newest Meraas development project, Bluewaters Island.
It is the next man-made island located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence offering retail, residential, entertainment, leisure and hospitality facilities for Dubai residents and visitors.
HH Sheikh Mohammed said, “We want our country to be known as a land of happiness and hope for both people and visitors, and for all those who have ambitions and dreams. The projects we see around us today reflect this vision as well as our determination to achieve the highest levels of excellence.”
Bluewaters Island features exciting tourism developments like the ‘Ain Dubai’, the world’s largest observation wheel, the highest rope climbing platform at over 150 metres, 10 apartment buildings with breath-taking views and state-of-the-art gymnasiums, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, basketball courts and children’s play areas.
Meraas has also collaborated with the Dubai government to create direct road linking Sheikh Zayed Road to Bluewaters. It will also feature a unique travel experience via a driverless vehicle system!
