Dubai’s gorgeous Miracle Garden now holds a third Guinness World Record. Not only is it the world’s ‘Largest Vertical Garden in the World’, the ‘Largest Floral Installation’ but now it is home to the ‘Tallest Topiary Sculpture (supported)’with the unveiling of an 18-metre tall floral monument of none other than everyone’s favourite cartoon, Mickey Mouse.
The Mickey Mouse spectacle was built in celebration for the 90th anniversary of the beloved character and in a new licensing deal between Miracle Garden and Walt Disney Company. It is Disney’s first feature floral display, made of 100,000 plants and flowers including White Petunia, Red Petunia, White Geranium, and Yellow Viola, weighing almost 35 tons.
Chafic Najia, Senior Vice President and General Manager of The Walt Disney Company Ltd, said “Mickey Mouse is one of the world’s most iconic and beloved characters, and we are proud to be able to celebrate such a unique touch point at Dubai Miracle Gardens with UAE residents and visitors, and enable them to connect with Disney and our characters. We look forward to celebrating more local experiences for Disney fans in the UAE and across the Middle East region in the future.” More Disney characters are expected to pop up around the garden around November 2018.
Be sure to check out the new sight at Miracle Garden which is open every day. Tickets are Dhs 45 for adults and Dhs 35 for children between 3 to 12 years.
