Etihad Rail has recently unveiled its complete passenger network, featuring 11 stations that are set to launch services in phases this year across the UAE.

In early 2025, Etihad Rail announced the first four main stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah.

The passenger rail network will link 11 stations across the UAE, stretching from Al Sila near the Saudi border to Al Dhaid in Sharjah, and from the western region of Abu Dhabi to Fujairah on the east coast.

The company has now unveiled the remaining stations in Al Sila, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Mezairaa, Al Faya, and Al Dhaid. The initiative promises faster, congestion-free travel with modern trains equipped for comfort.

11 Station Locations

  1. Al Sila, the UAE’s border with Saudi Arabia
  2. Al Dhannah, located 250km west of Abu Dhabi
  3. Al Mirfa, Abu Dhabi
  4. Madinat Zayed, located 180 kilometres away from Abu Dhabi
  5. Mezairaa, located close to the Liwa Oasis and the Empty Quarter, Mezairaa
  6. Mohamed bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi
  7. Al Faya, located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai
  8. Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai

  11. Sakamkam, Fujairah

Trains accommodate up to 400 passengers each, with ergonomic seating, full Wi-Fi, power outlets at every seat, and international safety certifications. They operate on precise schedules, integrating with broader transport systems for reliable intercity trips.

Journey times include 57 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and 105 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. A future high-speed line aims to reduce Abu Dhabi-Dubai trips to 30 minutes.

The latest achievement was the result of three years of planning, design, and delivery, involving 24.5 million working hours and more than 7,000 experts and workers.
