Dubai’s private schools will have the option of remote learning on Fridays during Ramadan, following directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

The initiative is designed to provide greater flexibility for students while reinforcing family connections and accommodating the spiritual and cultural significance of Ramadan.

Key Details Of The Initiative:

  • Private schools can offer remote learning on Fridays during Ramadan.
  • Students with mandatory in-person exams on Fridays must attend school as per their schedules.
  • Schools will provide in-person learning options for families who prefer traditional classroom settings.

This decision follows an earlier UAE-wide announcement by Ministry of Education, covered by Connector, where public schools were directed to adopt remote learning on Fridays under the ‘Ramadan with Family’ initiative.
