In a move to strengthen family bonds and enhance Ramadan values, the Ministry of Education has announced that students in public schools will attend remote learning on Fridays throughout the Holy Month.

The initiative, ‘Ramadan with Family’, encourages students to engage in meaningful family activities while continuing their education in a supportive home environment. The decision aligns with the UAE’s vision of fostering family cohesion and social harmony during Ramadan.

Key Details:

  • Remote learning starts from the first Friday of Ramadan.
  • Exams scheduled on Fridays will still be conducted in-person.
  • Teaching staff will continue attending schools as usual.
  • Parents who prefer in-person learning for their children can opt to send them to school, arranging transportation independently.

The Ministry has also introduced a guidance manual, which includes curriculum-based cultural and religious activities to support children's educational and moral development during Fridays in line with Ramadan's values.
