Love cello? Here's something that will blow your mind! Global cello phenomenon Hauser will headline at the Abu Dhabi Festival on Saturday, 2 May 2026, at Etihad Arena.
The Croatian cellist shot to fame with his iconic rendition of Smooth Criminal and is known for his electric cello performances that blend classical music with pop and rock. His viral fame aside, the musician also has an incredible 7.7 million followers on Instagram.
The cellist first shot to international fame as one half of the hugely popular duo 2Cellos, before carving out an impressive solo career. He has since toured across the globe, selling over a million tickets and performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Madison Square Garden.
His solo album Classic debuted at number one on the Billboard chart in 2020, further cementing his reputation. Over the years, he has performed for Pope Francis, U.S. Presidents, and members of the British Royal Family, earning accolades at major international competitions and building a passionate worldwide fanbase.
Hauser now joins the Abu Dhabi Festival’s star-studded 2026 programme, appearing alongside Jon Batiste, Dhafer Youssef, the American Ballet Theatre and Minsoo Sohn.
The concert was announced by Live Nation Middle East and Abu Dhabi Festival in partnership with Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation and Miral.
