Emirates Airline has temporarily suspended all advertising on social media platforms following a rise in fraudulent ticket promotions targeting travellers.
The airline said scammers have been posting fake ads using the brand's visuals and unauthorised trademarks, tricking people into clicking malicious links or sharing personal information.
The Dubai-based carrier confirmed it is working closely with social media companies to quickly identify and remove these posts, often within minutes. It also urged customers to verify any online promotions and only book tickets through official Emirates channels.
