InterContinental Dubai Festival City Unveils Enhanced ‘The Event Centre’

The InterContinental Dubai Festival City has officially launched its revamped ‘The Event Centre,’ setting a new standard for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) in Dubai. With substantial investments, the new look venue is poised to elevate Dubai’s status as a premier destination for global events.

At the official launch, industry leaders including Mr. Haitham Mattar from IHG, Mr. Jonathan Timms of Al Futtaim Real Estate, and Mr. Thomas Schmelter, Area General Manager of IHG Hotels in Dubai Festival City, gathered to celebrate this significant milestone in Dubai's MICE landscape.

State-Of-The-Art Event Space

Event space at InterContinental Dubai Festival City boasts a remarkable 15,000sqm of versatile event space, including a 7,200sqm area at Festival Arena, the 5,000sqm The Event Centre which includes sophisticated ballrooms and meeting rooms with stunning views of Dubai Creek and the iconic Dubai skyline, and a 1,150sqm venue at Holiday Inn and Suites.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The newly enhanced ballrooms come equipped with the largest built-in LED screen and a high-lumen projector (16.5k), ensuring the best possible presentation quality. Designed by David T’Kint, these spaces blend elegance and functionality, inspired by Dubai’s cultural heritage. Whether for large conferences or intimate meetings, the venue offers a versatile setting that meets diverse event needs.

Commitment To Sustainability

In line with IHG’s "Journey to Tomorrow" initiative, the hotel emphasises sustainability through its Sustainable Meetings program, which aims to reduce waste and carbon emissions. With an on-site water bottling plant and efforts to eliminate single-use plastics, the InterContinental Dubai Festival City is setting a benchmark for eco-friendly event venues.
