RTA Grants Garmin 10-Year Naming Rights For ONPASSIVE Metro Station

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a 10-year agreement granting naming rights for the station previously known as ONPASSIVE Metro Station to global technology brand Garmin.

Facilitated through AMIT Retail LLC—the exclusive distributor of Garmin in the UAE—and managed via Mada Media and Hypermedia, the station located on the Red Line will now be officially named Garmin Metro Station.

RTA confirmed that work to update directional signage, digital maps, smart apps, and onboard audio announcements across the metro network will take place from September through to the end of November 2026. Station assistance teams will be available during the transition period to support passengers.

The partnership forms part of the RTA’s Metro Station Naming Rights initiative established in 2009, which allows commercial brands to secure long-term visibility while generating non-fare revenues to support public transport infrastructure across Dubai.
