Dubai's leading carrier, Emirates, has earned a top spot among the top five world's best airlines. In the 2024 Airline Excellence Awards by AirlineRating, the only safety and product rating website globally, Emirates secured the fifth position on the top 25 list. These prestigious awards, evaluated by five editors with over 100 years of combined industry experience, consider safety and government audits alongside criteria: fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability, safety rating, product rating, innovation, and forward fleet orders.
Qatar Airways made the top spot on the list, followed by Korean Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, Air New Zealand and Emirates rounding off the top five list.
Emirates was awarded Best In-Flight Entertainment and Best Premium Economy, while Etihad Airways was recognised as Best Environmental Airline for the third consecutive year. Additionally, Etihad secured the eighth spot on the top 25 list. AirlineRatings also highlighted the best low-cost airlines, with flyDubai making the list from the Middle East.
