RTA Updates Nol Card Top-Up Requirement For Dubai Commuters

Dubai commuters, if you use Nol Card quite often, we have news for you. Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA) took to its social media to announce the new Nol Card top up requirement starting from 15 January, 2024. From 15 January, commuters are required to top-up their Nol cards with a minimum of Dhs 20, an increase from the previous minimum of Dhs 5, as per the official announcement. The top-up requirement is in place only at Metro station ticket offices. 

Besides this, for a round trip on the metro, commuters now need a minimum of Dhs 15 on their Nol card, up from the previous Dhs 7.50. One-way fares vary between Dhs 3 and Dhs 15, depending on the area zones and class.

Validity Of Nol Cards 

Nol Cards are valid for 5-years, whereas the Nol Red Ticket is valid for 90-days or 10-trips. 

Where Can You Use Nol Cards 

Nol Cards can be used for Dubai Metro, public bus, Dubai Water taxis, and RTA paid parking. Besides this, you can also use your Nol Cards at public parks including, Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Mushrif Park, Creek Park, and more, to pay the entry fee. It is also acceptable at Etihad Museum and over 2,000 shops around the city.
