The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced that government employees will be given flexible working hours for the first day back to school.
Under the 'Back To School' policy approved by the UAE cabinet, parents will be able to start late and finish early, to pick up and drop off their child at school, on the first day of the new academic year.
The workday can be shortened for up to three hours, for parents with children in nurseries, kindergarten and schools.
Parents will also be able to leave work for up to three hours to attend parent-teacher meetings, graduations and special occasions relating to their child.
