Cinco De Mayo is celebrated on 5 May in Mexico to commemorate the day the Mexican army won against the French empire in the Battle of Puebla in 1862, and this year the celebrations come to Dubai at Zoco in Al Habtoor City with an all-day fiesta on Friday, 7 May.
Celebrate the festival with delicious, mouth-watering Mexican dishes from 1pm to 6pm at Al Habtoor City.
For starters, enjoy sharing options including chicken pozole, chorizo and beans, cheese empanadas, shrimp quesadilla and ceviche tostada.
Delight in either carne asada, veracruzana fish, or the chicken pastor tacos for the main course.
End the meal with a sweet treat with unlimited, all-you-can-eat churros and vanilla ice cream.
The meals will be cooked by Chef Manuel Sanchez and will feature his traditional take on Mexican food.
Prices for the meal start at Dhs 150 for the soft package which includes food and soft beverages. Individuals that would like house drinks can opt for the soft packages with Dhs 20 per additional beverage.
From 1pm to 5pm, individuals can also opt for the house packages, which will offer food as well as house beverages for Dhs 250. Those that would like additional drinks can pay Dhs 20 for each after 5pm.
