Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to stay active, here is something exciting that you can look forward to and start preparing for.
The 25th edition of the Dubai Marathon is now open for registration, and it’s shaping up to be a memorable one. Set to take place on Sunday, 1 February, 2026, this special silver jubilee edition will mark a major milestone in the event’s journey, from its early days in the 2000s as the Middle East's oldest international marathon, to becoming one of the top ten marathons globally.
Held under the support of the Dubai Sports Council, the race isn’t just for elite international athletes. It’s for everyone. You don’t need to run the full 42.195km marathon to be part of the experience. There’s also a 10km road race for casual runners and a 4km fun run for families, beginners, or anyone simply wanting to enjoy the city’s lively outdoor vibe.
The race’s flat and fast course is designed for all fitness levels, making it a great opportunity to challenge yourself, try something new, or even just enjoy a walk or jog with friends and family.
The event will feature elite athletes including Olympians and international marathon runners, along with first-time runners, from over 140 countries. In the last edition, a 23 year old Ethiopian, Bute Gemechu, who was also a new-comer to the Dubai Marathon, won the men's title. So, you can expect the unexpected for the upcoming edition as well.
Registration is now open on the official website. Whether your goal is to break your personal best or simply cross the finish line with a smile, this is your chance to be part of one of Dubai’s most iconic sporting events. Prices start from Dhs 50 for the fun run, up to Dhs 150 for the full marathon.
