The 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is back for the year.
The 12-day event will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from 2 to 13 November.
As announced by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), the theme for this year's event is 'Spread The Word' and will continue to encourage people to continue on their reading journey.
Italy will be the guest of honour for this edition and will highlight building bridges of cultural communication through the power of words.
The 41st edition will feature an extravagant lineup of well-known authors and intellectuals from around the world.
In 2021, SIBF became the year’s largest publishing event worldwide for business exchanges and copyright sales.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA said, "The 41st edition of SIBF renews our commitment to the wise vision set by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, focused on building societies that understand the true value of books and its formative role in the developmental journeys of nations. It also asserts the impact of authors, creatives and intellectuals in driving the role of culture in building civilisations and making a tangible impact on human awareness."
