Initially launched in 2017, the Dar Al Zein Festival returned to Al Ain in 2023 with its new identity as the DAZ festival, and now, in 2024, the DAZ festival is making a comeback in April. It's a family event at Al Ain Zoo inspired by nature's beauty. Visitors enjoy treats, live music, movies, rides, kids' activities, shopping, and more at the DAZ festival. For 2024, the theme is 'Farm Meets Safari,' and the 10-day festival will be held from 12 to 21 April.
Between 12 and 21 April, you can enjoy a fun-filled event featuring live music, exciting rides, interactive workshops, and delicious food and beverages. The festival is organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with event planner Brag.
Music, Family Movie Nights And Shows
People who love music can enjoy live shows by local artists. Those who like animals can watch exciting wildlife presentations and science demonstrations on the community stage, showcasing the beauty of nature. As part of this year's theme, movies in the park will feature family-friendly films like Madagascar, Zootopia, Zookeeper, The Wild, and others every day throughout the festival.
Fun Time For Kids And Adults At The Play Area
As part of the 'Farm Meets Safari' theme, the kids' play area is crafted to delight young minds and nurture a passion for nature. Packed with excitement, laughter, slides, and swings, this wooden play area will keep children entertained and energetic for hours.
Visitors to the festival can also unleash their inner child and create special memories with family and friends by enjoying carnival rides and games of skill. A variety of thrilling activities such as a giant slide, maze, zip line, climbing walls, swings, and outdoor games guarantee countless moments of family-friendly enjoyment.

Food And Retail Therapy
With all the excitement, you're bound to work up an appetite! At the DAZ festival, you can treat yourself to a wide range of delicious foods from local favourites to global bites. Food lovers can venture on a culinary adventure, enjoying tasty savoury dishes or satisfying their sweet cravings with animal-themed desserts. The festival promises a farm-to-table experience, with food vendors using fresh, locally sourced ingredients in their culinary creations.
If you're in the mood for shopping, the DAZ festival has you covered! The DAZ market will feature a variety of sustainable brands, mainly focusing on products for kids.
You can also join workshops for children aged 4 to 12, such as soil painting, seed bomb making, artistic planting, and worm composting.
Experience Emirati culture and heritage at the DAZ Market's heritage pods, where local artisans will showcase Safafa, Talli, Al Leekh, Al Khoos, calligraphy, henna, and more.
Visitors can enjoy all of this from 4.30pm to 10.30pm daily.

And while you are there, don't forget to experience the Al Ain Zoo's captivating events from 9am to 7pm. Enjoy mesmerising bird shows led by skilled Emirati trainers and unique activities like giraffe feeding and the lemur walk. Immerse yourself in African wildlife through the Al Ain Safari adventure and revel in the tales of many animals with the keeper talks.
Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster's website and start from Dhs 35 for access to the festival and Al Ain Zoo. You can buy the DAZ Pass for Dhs 115, with access to all rides and activities, in addition to paid experiences, except for the skill games and main arena concerts, which can be purchased separately at the festival.
