ERC To Increase Aid To Turkey And Syria

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has announced an increase in the humanitarian aid provided to Syria and Turkey.

During a meeting held with the board of Emirates Red Crescent, the additional aid will help in providing relief to families affected by the earthquakes.

The plans include continuing the UAE response by deploying relief and logistics capabilities, emergency cadres and volunteers to assist victims of the disaster in both countries.

The ERC currently has their 'Bridge of Goodness' campaign running where individuals can make donations to help in sending aid to affected families in Turkey and Syria.

Individuals can also as part of the campaign, make donations to ERC through Deliveroo at checkout.

On 6 February, two earthquakes measuring 7.8 and 7.6 on the Richer scale hit Turkey and Syria in the morning and in the afternoon.

Over 40,000 have been reported dead in both countries, with many injured.
