UAE residents that have been out of the country for over six months can now apply for a re-entry permit.
The permit gives residents that have been out of the country for study, work or medical treatment the ability to maintain a valid visa.
To receive the re-entry permit, the person needs to submit a copy of their Emirates ID and passport, and a written reason for the delay in entering the country within the period.
The service is not applicable to golden visa holders.
The permit is now available on the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) website.
