Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), along with Emirates Parkings, have signed an agreement, which permits the RTA to tow vehicles and trailers that do not comply with the set rules and regulations.
The vehicles seized and fees calculated through the agreement will be linked through electronic systems.
Additionally, all the main records from auctioning of vehicles will be recorded in the system.
Vehicles of all types, including mobile caravans, food carts, boats and bicycles that are identified during field monitoring, will be impounded.
The agreement also enables RTA to access all reports about impounded vehicles.
The vehicles that have been towed due to technical traffic violations will be released after the designated period and after the fine is paid.
In case of a technical traffic violation caused by a technical malfunction, the vehicle will not be released until the issue has been resolved.
The vehicle will only be released after RTA receives all the outstanding fees associated with the impounded vehicle.
