Nine new charter schools will open for the academic year 2022 - 2023 in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) charter school programme will open the new schools after the success of the previously opened 22 charter schools.
A charter school is a public-private partnership model that receives government backing but is run as a private school.
With the opening of the new schools, 46,500 places will be available, with the number of charter schools brought to 31 schools.
KG, Cycle 1, Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 will be available at the schools.
The school's curriculum will include English, Math and Science, Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies that follow the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, as well as extracurricular activities, including physical education and swimming.
