Dubai Safari Park To Close For The Summer

Dubai Media Office

Dubai Municipality has announced that Dubai Safari Park will close for the summer season on 31 May.

The park will close to protect the animals as the high summer temperatures can cause them health risks. Climate-controlled environments have been created that mimic their natural environment to ensure the animal's safety.

Maintenance, as well as upgrading of the facilities, will be done during the break, to enhance the animal's living areas.

The park will reopen to the public in September.

Live musical shows and entertainment activities will be held before the seasonal closing.

The park is currently home to around 3,000 animals, including 78 species of mammals, 10 different carnivores and 17 primates, 50 types of reptiles, 111 kinds of birds as well as amphibians and invertebrates.
