In an initiative to clean up the seabed in Abu Dhabi, four Azraq volunteers removed debris mainly consisting of plastic bottles and fishing debris.
The successful cleanup initiative amounted to 137.9kg of debris.
The initiative was in partnership with The Captain's Club, which provided the Captain and the boat to assist the Azraq volunteers in collecting the debris.
The cleanup took place at Lulu Island in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership will help to expand the coral reef survey program in Abu Dhabi and will also start cleanups in Dubai in the future.
