His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has completed 15 years as Ruler of Dubai. In His Highness Sheikh Mohammed's 15 years, a number of initiatives have been achieved that have helped build Dubai and made it the great place we all know and love today. Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Dubai. Reaching a height of 829.8 metres tall, it is the tallest building in the world. Built by Emaar and standing proudly in the heart of the bustling Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa was itself inaugurated on this day in 2010.

Launched on 9 September 2009, the Dubai Metro has made travel in Dubai extremely convenient and accessible, and continues to improve with new stations and new lines in operation, including the Route 2020 which began operating at the start of this year. The metro, along with buses, the tram and water transportation, travelling around Dubai has, over the years, been made easy and fun.

Dubai Cares
