Dubai’s creative scene is set to shine once again as Dubai Design Week returns for its eleventh edition from 4 to 9 November. Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and member of Dubai Council, the event brings together designers, artists, and communities from around the world.
Taking place across the buzzing Dubai Design District (d3), the week-long celebration promises something for all.
This year’s event explores design as a civic tool and social connector, reflecting the UAE’s Year of Community. Through a diverse programme of exhibitions, talks, public installations, and hands-on workshops, the week aims to spark dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange in a setting open to everyone.
Key highlights include Urban Commissions, where architects and designers are invited to reimagine the 'Courtyard' as a modern communal space, and Abwab 2025, which will feature immersive design installations, on the richness of cultural patterns and ornamentation, from West, South, and East Asia and Africa.
Families and design enthusiasts can look forward to interactive workshops in the Maker Space, exhibitions from leading cultural institutions, and a vibrant Marketplace filled with local crafts, live performances, and unique food experiences.
From 5 to 9 November, the region’s premier design fair, Downtown Design, returns to the d3 Waterfront Terrace, showcasing top international and regional brands.
Also returning is Editions Art and Design, from 6 to 9 November, offering limited-edition artworks and collectable design objects from 50 regional and international galleries.
