The world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa held a fire and evacuation drill to ensure that the safety standards in place are are up to mark.
The drill was conducted on Monday, 14 December 2020 at 10.30am, and was also held in preparation for the upcoming New Year's Eve celebration.
The Burj Khalifa will kick off the New Year with a massive show consisting of fireworks as well a light and laser show.
To safeguard the public for the New Year's Eve celebration, every possible precaution has been taken with thermal scanners placed to check the public's temperatures, social distancing, deep cleaning and sanitation as well as contactless payments.
All these precautions have been taken in line with the government's directives to ensure public safety.
The New Year's Eve show will be broadcast live at 8.30pm on mydubainewyear.com.
