Meydan One and Galaxy Racer Esports have partnered up to launch Dubai’s first ever Interschool Esports Tournament featuring FIFA 20. The tournament will run over two days on 12 and 13 December as a part of the 2019 Girl Gamer Esports Festival.
Open to both boys and girls, the tournament will feature two competitions played out over six-minute games of FIFA 20, one for juniors aged 6 to 11, and one for seniors aged 12 to 16.
Winners will receive scholarships worth Dhs 255,000.
The winner of the senior category will receive Dhs 100,000, while the winner of the junior tournament will walk away with Dhs 70,000.
Runners-up will receive Dis 50,000 and Dhs 35,000 respectively.
Schools can sign up a maximum of two students for each competition.
All participants will battle it out in a knockout tournament over the two days.
