UAE Weather Updates: Rain Expected In Parts Of The Country This Weekend

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted rainfall of varying intensity across parts of the UAE over the weekend.

According to NCM, partly cloudy and hazy conditions are to be expected, with possibility of rain particularly in eastern and southern regions including parts of Al Ain, Fujairah and Sharjah.

Winds will remain moderate to strong, with blowing dust and sand potentially reducing horizontal visibility. Temperatures are predicted to remain high. 

The weather forecast for this weekend:

Friday

Partly cloudy and hazy at times, with chances of rainfall towards eastern regions including Al Ain. Mist formation predicted during late night, along with moderate to strong winds causing blowing dust during the day time. 

  • Dubai: High of 44°C during the day, dropping to 33°C during late hours. Humidity will climb to 70% overnight and early mornings.

  • Abu Dhabi: Daytime high of 44°C is predicted, with a night-time low of 33°C. Humidity to reach 80% overnight.

Saturday

Chances of rainfall in some regions including Al Ain, Fujairah and Sharjah. Moderate to strong winds causing blowing dust during the day will reduce horizontal visibility. Temperature to increase slightly.

  • Dubai: Temperature to reach a high of 46°C during the day, and a low of 33°C at night. Humidity to reach 65% overnight and early mornings.

  • Abu Dhabi: Daytime high of 45°C predicted, with a low of 32°C during late hours. Humidity to go up to 75% overnight.

Sunday

Rainfall predicted in eastern and southern regions including Al Ain, Fujairah and Sharjah. Blowing dust and sand caused by strong winds to reduce horizontal visibility. 

  • Dubai: Temperature to climb to 46°C during the day, and drop to a low of 32°C at night. Humidity to reach 70% overnight and early mornings.

  • Abu Dhabi: Daytime high of 45°C predicted, with a low of 32°C during late hours. Humidity to go up to 70% overnight.
